Well, we won't admit this to Lucy, but Jake just may have had his "worst day ever"...so far. His throat hurts so bad, and to add to his misery, he has a cough and runny nose. Dr gave him some Tylenol with codeine, but it's not worth the battle to make him take it. (the stuff does smell terrible!) I finally just told Jake that HE could tell me when he wants some medicine to help his throat. (but don't come crying to me when your throat hurts!!! =) sympathy runs thin when there isn't much i can do to help...)
Turns out a friend of his- a girl in another first grade class at his school, and she goes to our church- had her tonsils out the day before him. So today AJ came over for a play date- both kids have been so BORED during the days (bored during the days, miserable with pain at night)! Right now Jake and AJ are hanging out playing playstaion and eating Popsicles together. ( It's also a nice break for both mothers!)

Feel better soon. Isn't it always the case when back to school hits, so do all of the sniffles and sneezes!!
