So last night was tough- the kids fighting, it had been a long day, and at family prayer (of course) Lucy hit Jake about 5 times in a row. Well, I was tired of it so I said for Jake to hit her back.... thank goodness it was bed time....
Today at school my friend Stephanie was subbing in Jake's class. The school counselor was making her rounds and in JAke's class she had all the kids sitting around in a circle and asked them "What should we do when someone hits you?" Stephanie said Jake's hand shot into the air like he just couldn't wait to share his perfect answer. So the counselor calls on Jake and he says, "Last night my sister hit me FIVE times so my mom said HIT HER BACK, HIT HER BACK!" Stephanie said the counselor's eyes got big real fast.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That's hilarious! And timely. I let Jenna and Lily duke it out yesterday because I didn't know what else to do (Lily cut the hair of Jenna's American Girl Dolls... can't get much worse than that for a 6 year old).
