Happy Fourth of July! We started the day early with breakfast at the Toquerville park. It was yummy! Then we headed up to Zions and we did the Emerald Pools hike. The kids did really well! Yes, it was a little WARM (105 degrees) but we just drank lots and kept in the shade when possible.
I really like this picture of my dad. It was really nice spending the day with him.
After our hike, we cooled off in the Virgin River in Zions. it was cool and beautiful and the kids had a blast. That is Angel's Landing behind us.
Gas near Zions. What are you paying?

I hope all of your days become happy like this day
Our gas was up to $4.45 about 2 weeks ago, and now is down to $4.29. I hate this! The scooters are looking more and more like a good idea, don't you think, at 100 miles per gallon?
Hey we just took John to college and we ran into all sorts for gas prices. I think I want to move to AZ. They were the cheapest in some places. Hehehe On the Nevada/AZ border on AZ side, we paid $4.05 a gallon. Then we crossed over to california, at Needles, and it went up to $5.79 a gallon. I would be going accross the border if i lived there to get gas. It was aweful! DANELLE

I drove through Price, Utah and it cost $4.25. We are holding at $3.99 in South Jordan, Utah...but I bet it won't stay there for much longer.
BTW...I LOVE ZION!!! Emerald Pools are great and I also love hiking The Narrows. Very fun!!

In Costa Rica we are paying $5.17 a gallon. Atleast I would be if I had a car.
I'm not sure I would do Zion in 100 degree weather. Very brave.
